Okay okay hear me out though; batjokes Leon The Professional AU.

Bruce is staying in a dingy hotel with his parents and Alfred, a newly trained young criminal Joker staying a few doors down the hall. A group of killers come rushing in and finish Martha and Thomas, and shortly after they catch up with Alfred too, but not before he finds a safe place for Bruce to hide. Joker watches the whole thing from down the hall, he knows they haven't found the teen yet, and something in him prompts him to make a scene so the killers come out and chase him instead. The police arrives much later, and Joker tries to hide in his room, but Bruce saw the whole thing, and he knows Joker saved his life; so he runs away a short while after the police arrives and knocks on Joker's door, asking to be let in. And against his 99 better judgements, an 18 years old Joker lets a 13 years old Bruce stay with him, and Bruce pesters him until Joker agrees to train him and live with him, technically, in the Wayne Manor.
